Approximately 80% of all microchips worldwide are produced using ZEISS technology. These chips are integral to daily life, in smartphones, smart homes, and factories. ZEISS leads in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, providing high-precision optics, photomask systems, and process control solutions for smaller, more powerful, and energy-efficient microchips.
* Define software architecture and develop next-generation lithography systems to advance the semiconductor industry.
* Find optimal solutions for embedded systems considering system, hardware, and performance constraints.
* Analyze system requirements, align on technical specifications, and propose solutions with the team.
* Define system stack and critical interfaces.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including software developers, product owners, and electronics teams.
Qualifications:
* Studies in Software or Electronics Engineering, Control Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or similar; Master's degree preferred.
* Proven experience as a software architect with stack design in professional software development.
* Excellent understanding of real-time systems, such as embedded control systems.
* Ability to develop optimal performance solutions collaboratively.
* Clear, precise, empathetic communication skills; passion for solving complex challenges independently and in teams.
* Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
