Responsibilities
You are an experienced project manager with a background in photonic research and development? Join us and become part of our industry leading photonics product development team, belonging to the Keysight Communications Solutions Group. In this position, you will get the opportunity to work with a highly motivated team to develop best in class test systems for the optical telecommunications as well as datacom/AI industry.
1. In charge of managing the development of new parametric photonic test solutions from conception to product launch
2. Manage the hardware product lifecycle from concept to release, including scope, schedule, resource, budget and risk management
3. Align with marketing, order fulfilment, Keysight laboratories and other organizations to drive successful new product introductions
4. Lead a team of engineers with a direct reporting line and support them in meeting their business and development goals
5. Identify and harness leverage potential across products and platforms
6. Drive technical decisions
7. Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
8. Communicate plans and results to management
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Optics, Telecommunication, Physics, Electrical Engineering with optics background)
10. minimum of 7 years post graduate work experience with a minimum of 3 years in project and product life cycle management
11. Demonstrated track record in leading development teams
12. Excellent written and verbal skills to be able to lead across multiple functions.
13. Pro-active, strategic, and growth mindset
14. Structured working style and ready to hold themselves and others accountable
15. Ability to work in a multi-site, multi-cultural global team environment
16. Fluent in English
17. German language skills
Preferred Qualifications:
18. Hands-on experience with lasers, fiber-optic parts and photonic instruments
19. Knowledge about direct-detection and coherent optical communication systems
