* Conduct risk engineering surveys for the power sector (erection, commissioning and operation)
* Implementation of efficient loss prevention measures with the development of effective risk management procedures at client level
* Develop and implement HRC standards, guidelines, and risk engineering tools
* Evaluate loss potential in accordance with HRC guidelines
* Desktop reviews of external risk reports as requested by underwriters
* Provide reports in a timely manner in agreement with underwriters and in accordance with HRC risk engineering guidelines
* Develop and provide training sessions for clients, underwriters and claims
* Attend client presentations
* Minimum of 7 years of experience working within the power industry or experience as a power risk engineer in the insurance industry
* Appropriate formal engineering qualifications (MSc or PhD), preferably mechanical or electrical engineering
* Professional membership of engineering associations would be advantageous
* Good knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance of turbines as well as good understanding of international engineering standards
* Good knowledge of or experience in renewable energy would be an additional advantage
* International experience or working with different cultures is preferred
* Highly motivated personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
* English (min. level C1), further foreign language skills desirable
