The Position We are the recognized partner of excellence for the Serum Work Area (SWA), ensuring the development of high-quality analytical systems across all technologies. Through outstanding product care and the intelligent use of synergies, we continuously enhance the performance of our diagnostic systems. As a Scientist LC-MS & Columns (m/f/d) for liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, you are the central architect for the success and stability of our core diagnostics product portfolio based on Mass Spectrometry. Your strong scientific background and strategic mind for coordination will manage and direct activities across the full product lifecycle, ensuring we deliver the reliable, high-quality products our customers expect Your opportunity Technical Troubleshooting: You will be the go-to expert for complex technical issues, leading root cause investigations and developing robust solutions in close collaboration with our quality and support teams. This includes technical leadership where you will provide guidance and mentoring for a team of motivated co-workers. Stakeholder Management: You will build and maintain strong relationships with key internal partners (e.g., R&D, Global Customer Support, Quality Control) and strategic external collaboration partners, acting as the central point of communication. Strategic Contribution: You will provide critical input for the strategic roadmap of the domain, assessing risks and opportunities within your portfolio to secure future success. Who you are You hold a university degree in a Life Science discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field); a PhD is considered a plus. In addition you bring several years of professional experience with LC-MS in industry or equivalent environments. You have expertise in liquid chromatography, column development and mass spectrometry, not only in method development but also a deep understanding of the hardware and underlying principles. You are a natural collaborator and communicator, capable of leading cross-functional teams and managing external partners with confidence and clarity. Therefore you are fluent in both German and English. You have proven technical leadership and a track record of structuring key deliverables and coaching functional experts to meet quality and deadline targets. You possess strong project management skills and a problem-solving mindset, thriving on tackling complex technical challenges. This position is limited to 2 years.
