Job Description
The role of IT Service Portfolio Manager is pivotal in ensuring the strategic alignment, transparency, and efficiency in the delivery of IT services across the organization.
This position focuses on managing and evolving the IT Service Portfolio to reflect business priorities, information security aspects, and support informed decision-making.
In close cooperation with service owners, finance, information security, demand and catalogue management functions, this role fosters cross-functional collaboration and transparency across all levels of the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
* Strategic responsibility for the alignment and continuous development of the IT Service Portfolio and its operability
* Ensuring transparency and consistency across current, future, and end-of-life IT services
* Defining and governing service design principles, structures, and documentation standards
* Collaborating closely with financial management, IT controlling, demand management, service implementation and operations
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess several years of experience in IT Service Management, Application Lifecycle Management, Portfolio or Catalogue Management.
You should have a university degree in business informatics or a comparable field and practical experience in IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL and COBIT.
A strong analytical skillset combined with a structured and quality-driven working style is essential, as well as exceptional conceptual thinking and communication abilities.
You should also have experience in IT financial structures and service governance processes, as well as experience in the definition, negotiation, and implementation of SLAs and further KPIs.
Familiarity with ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) and ideally complemented by COBIT certification is desirable.
