Freelance: Project Engineer (m/f/d) | Production & Infrastructure | Hamburg
We are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support technical projects within a dynamic production environment. This role offers the opportunity to work across engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects, with strong stakeholder interaction and real impact on site development.
Your Responsibilities
* Planning and execution of technical projects in production and infrastructure
* Preparation of project proposals and coordination with internal stakeholders
* Supporting building permit applications in collaboration with architects and external partners
* Construction supervision, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
* Monitoring timelines and costs, with regular reporting to senior stakeholders
* Coordination of suppliers and service providers
* Liaising with authorities and regulatory bodies (e.g. BUKEA, HPA, Health & Safety, Fire Department)
Your Profile
* Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Process, or Electrical Engineering (or similar)
* Proven experience in project planning and execution
* Background in production, manufacturing, or food industry is a strong advantage
* Knowledge of construction processes and approval procedures
* Experience in stakeholder and authority management
* Strong organizational skills and cost awareness
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Fluent German and English (written and spoken)
Project Details
* Location: Hamburg
* Start: ASAP
* Duration: Long-term project (initially planned for 1 year+)
* Workload: ~40 hours/week (flexible)
* Work model: 80% on-site / 20% remote (flexible depending on project phase)
