As an Engineer for Design and Dimensioning of Flat-Product Equipment, you will be responsible for the design and dimensioning of equipment for flat products, particularly in mechanical engineering and structural mechanics. Your duties will include:
* Designing, dimensioning, and optimizing machine components and plant technology with regard to component strength, service life, and economic efficiency.
* Executing static and dynamic dimensioning of structures and components for flat-product technology in the areas of rolling mill technology and strip processing lines.
* Developing calculation models and methods for the design of components and systems.
* Providing methodological support to the departments.
* Responsible execution of development projects.
* Interdisciplinary collaboration and support during commissioning and in sales projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A completed degree in engineering (mechanical engineering or equivalent).
* Solid knowledge of machine elements and mechanical design.
* Very good experience with simulation tools (FEM methods).
* Very good knowledge in the field of fatigue strength and corresponding design guidelines (FKM guideline, Eurocode).
* Good skills with CAD programs (ideally Creo Parametric).
* Open-mindedness, ability to work in a team, and resilience.
* Entrepreneurial thinking and acting.
* Willingness to travel worldwide.
* Business-fluent German and very good English language skills.
