Job Description
Arbio's growth strategy is M&A-driven, with 2–4 acquisitions expected per quarter. Integrations have grown well beyond data migration — they now involve incorporating teams, harmonizing processes, and migrating tools and systems. Today, these workstreams are spread across multiple functions (Operations, Revenue, Tech, Finance, People), and no single person owns the end-to-end process or has the full overview. The consequence is slower integrations, missed synergies, and a real risk of failing to capture the value of the businesses we acquire. A dedicated Post-Merger Integration Manager will own the process end-to-end and ensure we realize the full value of every deal.
The Post-Merger Integration Manager owns the end-to-end integration of newly acquired short-term rental businesses into Arbio. You are the single point of accountability from deal close through full operational integration — coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, understanding the acquired business, identifying improvement levers, and managing the migration of teams, processes, and tools into Arbio's stack. The role reports directly to the COO and is central to Arbio's M&A-driven growth across Europe.
This is a hands-on, hybrid role at the intersection of business and technology. You're not expected to code — but you should be tech-savvy in the modern AI world: comfortable reading API documentation, connecting tools via APIs, building automations, and using AI to accelerate every part of your work. At the same time, you're business-savvy — you read a P&L fluently, understand how a business operates, and can hold credible conversations with founders, executives, and senior commercial leaders. You'll plug into acquired companies' PMS systems, drive data migrations into Arbio's stack, partner closely with Engineering on the technical work, and lead the operational and commercial integration end-to-end.
Job Requirements
Must-haves:
* 3–6 years of experience in roles with strong project/program management ownership (post-merger integration, consulting, transformation, operations, or similar)
* Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and drive complex initiatives to completion
* Structured, analytical thinker who can quickly understand a new business and identify improvement levers
* Strong communicator and stakeholder manager — comfortable working across Operations, Revenue, Tech, Finance, and People
* Hands-on, ownership-driven mindset; thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
* Tech-savvy in the modern AI world — no coding required, but comfortable reading API documentation, connecting systems via APIs, building automations, and working with structured data (SQL, CSV/Excel)
* Able to lead and execute data migrations from acquired companies operational systems into Arbio's stack
* Fluent with AI tools (e.g., Claude) — used daily to accelerate research, documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication
* Business-savvy — reads a P&L fluently, understands how a business operates, and can hold credible conversations with founders, executives, and senior commercial leaders
* German language working proficiency (B2+) and fluent English
* Berlin-based or willing to relocate; comfortable with travel within Europe
Nice-to-haves:
* Prior post-merger integration (PMI) experience
* Experience in hospitality, real estate, short-term rentals, or ops-heavy startups
* Familiarity with PMS, channel managers, or operational tooling (e.g., Hostaway, Guesty, Smoobu, Apaleo, Avantio)
* Light scripting (Python or similar) for data transformation
* Change management background
Job Responsibilities
* Own end-to-end integration of acquired STR businesses into Arbio, from deal close through full operational integration
* Build and maintain a repeatable integration playbook
* Conduct rapid business diagnostics of acquired companies (people, processes, tools, performance)
* Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Operations, Revenue Management, Tech, Finance, and People
* Identify improvement levers and synergy opportunities, and drive them to execution
* Plug into acquired companies' PMS and operational systems; design and execute data migrations into Arbio's stack
* Partner with Engineering to scope and prioritize technical integration work, owning the non-engineering side end-to-end
* Manage migration and harmonization of tools, systems, and processes into Arbio's stack
* Lead change management and integration of acquired teams into Arbio's culture and ways of working
* Track integration KPIs and report progress to the COO and leadership
* Continuously evolve the integration approach based on learnings from each deal
Job Benefits

* Make-it-happen culture. We don’t waste time with unnecessary meetings, and prefer quick chats instead waiting for consensus.
* Real competitive salary + equity (VSOP). We benchmark with other startups and we know the market price.
* Modern and central office in Berlin. 25 days paid vacation. Wellness/sport benefit and others.
