Road Freight Branch Manager (m/f/d)
Location: Nürnberg
Our client are a global service provider, specialised in Road Freight Transport Solutions globally, with a strong focus on Groupage, LTL, and FTL. They are now looking for an experienced Road Freight expert to join the team and lead the Nürnberg branch, managing the operations and sales for the site.
Responsibilities
1. Management and development of the branch with approx. 50 employees
2. Ensuring the operations of the branch office
3. Full P&L responsibility for the branch's financial results
4. Exercising management and supervisor responsibility, selecting, developing and motivating employees
5. Sustainably retaining and developing employees at the location using modern management methods
6. Strategic further development of the branch
7. Consolidation and expansion of the regional market position through new and existing products and through corresponding sales activities (securing, supporting and expanding existing customer relationships, acquiring new customers)
8. Analysing direct and indirect competitors
9. Process optimisation in the areas of local pick up & deliverymainhaul conceptsterminal handling / warehousing operations
10. Optimisation of KPIs and derivation of targets and measures
11. Process monitoring, optimisation and further development
Qualifications
12. Vocational training in freight forwarding
13. Alternatively completed studies (transport, logistics, or business administration)
14. 5 years of management experience in branch management with budget responsibility in freight forwarding or general cargo environment
15. High affinity for Numbers
16. Experienced leadership personality
17. Strong understanding of Road freight processes
18. Negotiating skills
