In Applied Materials Alzenau, we specialize in developing advanced display and OLED technologies, offering solutions for a broad range of applications, from architectural designs to packaging solutions.
We are looking to hire an Operations and Customer Quality Engineer to reinforce our local team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incoming Quality Control (IQC) - Conduct goods receiving inspection, primary for cosmetic issues
2. Manage quality notifications, lead MRB (Material review board) and make disposition
3. Track and follow up corrective actions
4. Outgoing Quality Control (Include the document checking and create Quality notification for OQC findings)
5. Plan and conduct source inspection at supplier sites to ensure compliance with specifications and Quality standards
6. Tracking of field quality issues
7. Interface for supplier FAI (First Article Inspection) problems with FAI review team
Functional Knowledge
8. Possesses knowledge of manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities to support technical reviews and collaboration.
9. Able to understand mechanical drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications
10. Ability to analyze Quality data using tools such as Pareto charts, control charts and propose effective improvement actions.
11. Familiar with general SAP QM (Quality Management) module
12. Proactively identifies Quality issues and lead cross-functional efforts for continuous improvement.
Interpersonal Skills
13. Skilled in communicating with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and quality groups to ensure alignment
14. Effectively communicates complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to cross-function teams
Education and Experience
15. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Fachhochschule) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
16. 3 years of experiences in Quality-related roles, including inspection, problem-solving, and supplier collaboration.
17. Preferred certifications:
CQE (Certified Quality Engineer)- ASQ
Six Sigma Green Belt or above
18. Willingness to take part in local and international business trips (at least 20%)
19. Strong communication skills in German and English, verbally as well as in writing.
