As part of our continued growth in Europe, we are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our Operations team in Mönchengladbach .
About the Role
As a Warehouse Operative at Detectamet, you will support the efficient day-to-day running of our warehouse operations. This is a hands-on role involving receiving, storing, picking, packing and dispatching goods accurately and safely, while maintaining high standards of organisation, stock accuracy and health & safety compliance.
You will work as part of a close-knit team, contributing directly to the timely delivery of high-quality products to customers across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
* Receive, unload and check incoming deliveries against documentation
* Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and on time
* Safely load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment
* Store goods in correct warehouse locations in line with procedures
* Accurately scan stock movements using warehouse systems (Sage / Sicon)
* Assist with stock counts, audits and stock takes
* Process returned goods and report damaged or missing items
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
* Follow all health & safety procedures and use PPE correctly
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational targets
What We’re Looking For
* Previous warehouse or logistics experience desirable but not essential
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Forklift (FLT) licence preferred or willingness to undertake training
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work
* Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
* Willingness to learn and develop within a growing business
Working Environment
* Warehouse-based role with exposure to noise, moving equipment and varying temperatures
* Manual handling and use of warehouse equipment required
* Full training and appropriate protective equipment provided
Physical Requirements
* Prolonged standing, walking and movement throughout the warehouse
* Ability to lift up to 12 kg regularly (heavier loads with equipment)
* Ability to bend, reach, kneel and perform manual handling tasks
