This role supports compliance by conducting trade and communication surveillance, advising on regulations, and promoting a strong compliance culture. It also plays a key role in managing algorithmic trading risks, developing monitoring frameworks, and supporting regulatory adherence across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct trade and communication surveillance to detect and report potential market abuse and regulatory breaches (MAR, REMIT).
* Advise the business on regulatory changes and support compliance with MiFID II, EMIR, and other applicable rules.
* Develop and maintain the trade surveillance program, including calibrating alerts and improving detection systems.
* Support the creation of a compliance framework for algorithmic trading and ensure governance of electronic trading activities.
* Build partnerships across global teams and support compliance training to foster a strong culture of ethics and compliance.
Requirements:
* at least 5 years experience with energy commodity trading.
* Knowledge of key trading regulations (MiFID, MAR, REMIT, EMIR) and experience in compliance monitoring/surveillance.
