The
Financial Analyst
acts as financial partner to business units, focusing on performance management, financial steering and decision support. The role is responsible for monitoring KPIs, analyzing profitability and ensuring that financial targets align with operational goals. The Business Controller plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis, contributing to strategic initiatives such as pricing, investment decisions and cost optimization.
The position is a single contributor role, reports to the Head of Group Controlling and works closely with the Group CFO.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and present monthly business reviews
* Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
* Conduct profitability and cost analysis
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Constant monitoring of department expenses and reporting on budget exhaustion
* Project cost control and analysis in various dimensions
* Calculation of norms and normatives, including conversion cost norms
* Management of cost center structure
* Participation in the development and improvement of the methodology for closing production costs
* Participation in closing the financial period with verification of control points and validation of the result
* Partner with business units to support financial decision-making
* Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting teams for reporting alignment
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
* Experience in financial analysis and planning
* Understanding of accounting principles, standards and regulations
* Experience in conducting a full budgeting cycle at an enterprise
* Ability to work with large data sets in a structured manner, validate figures and build trends
* Experience in various methodologies for calculating production costs
* Excellent Excel skills
* Experience in production / manufacturing industry is an advantage
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret financial data and trends
* Proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications
* Experienced with ERP systems Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong communication skills in German and English. Further languages are a plus
* Ability to work cross-functional and manage multiple priorities
* Good communication and presentation skills
