Job Description
The Automotive High Performance Compute team is seeking a Senior Staff Application Engineer (SoC) to support the systems and applications functions for automotive product line of all our current and next generation HPC products and communicating with customers and partners in Automotive industry. This is an excellent opportunity to take a supporting role in growing high-visibility SOC and overall software product family. The role will enable a successful candidate to support the customer deployment and improvement of overall system integrated, multi-party and in-house software stacks for automotive applications of ADAS/AD, Infotainment and zonal architectures.
Principle Accountabilities
The person in this role will have a customer supporting role of our fast growing line of SOC for automotive applications. An ideal candidate should have a clear understanding and hands-on experience of embedded Software, Linux OS and embedded automotive ECUs for automotive SOCs to strengthen Renesas growth in automotive arenas such as (but not limited to) the zonal, ADAS, infotainment and automotive compute sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Technical Support for software development of SoC (System-on-Chip) systems in leading edge Automotive Applications
2. Technical Support for hardware development of SoC (System-on-Chip) systems in leading edge Automotive Applications
3. Creation of application notes to simplify and fasten the application development of our customers
4. Definition and execution of trainings for customer and other Renesas teams
5. Cooperation with the Marketing and Sales team to follow up on product roadmaps
6. Effective information exchange with the development teams at Renesas Japan and other locations worldwide
7. Supporting the gitlab and remote Lab board SoC working environment in Düsseldorf
Qualifications
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
8. Graduate technical background in computer science or electronic engineering or equivalent
9. Knowledge of embedded System-on-Chip Technologies
10. Proficient knowledge of C and C++, Rust skills would be welcome but not mandatory
11. Embedded Linux platforms experience including low-level driver, kernel and user-space components
12. Communication and presentation skills, creativity and team spirit
13. Good english language skills
14. German language skill is welcome but not mandatory
15. Valid and existing residence and work permit for germany (location Düsseldorf)
16. Creative and structured approach to problem solving and issue debugging
17. Working experience in some of the following topics is welcome, but not mandatory:
18. embedded OS (Android, Integrity, QNX or other operating systems)
19. AUTOSAR / MCAL
20. 10+ years industry experience in automotive embedded systems application engineering or equivalent
