Challenges we trust you with
As an Automation Engineer at IBA, you'll play a crucial role in our automation projects.
You'll collaborate with our talented team of architects to analyze projects, define hardware and software specifications, and develop cutting-edge control systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Analyzing, programming, testing, and commissioning safety-related control systems.
2. Ensuring project documentation aligns with internal QMS procedures and guidelines.
3. Providing high-level technical support post-system start-up.
What we value
To excel in this role, we're looking for candidates who bring:
4. An engineering degree in Automation or Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a specialization in automation/control systems
5. A first similar experience (ideally 4-5 years)
6. The ability to thrive in project teams under a structured Quality Management System
7. Strong analytical skills for efficient technical problem-solving
8. Proficiency in creating high-quality technical documentation
9. A results-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting customer needs in mission-critical applications
10. Fluency in French and a good command of English
11. Willingness to travel internationally for short missions (approximately 20-30% of your time)
You ideally have a (not a must):
12. PLC programming expertise, specifically Siemens S7 400 and S7-1500
13. Proficiency in Supervision programming (Wonderware Intouch)
14. Familiarity with industrial communications protocols like PROFIBUS, PROFINET, S7-comms, and PROFISAFE
15. Knowledge with kepware is an asset
16. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking
17. Proficiency in MS Office suite
