Your Tasks :
1. As the Legal Director, you will be the key contact for legal matters across OPEA, including our small-medium scale partnering & transactions business.
2. Act as a steering member of the OPEA Senior Management Team.
3. Manage team performance to ensure efficiency and quality in a high-performance environment.
4. Operate as an entrepreneur, responsibly, strategically, and economically, in processes affecting the legal area and OPEA processes.
5. Serve as a Senior Legal Counsel to the OPEA Board and business, coordinating legal support through your teams.
6. Cover Board Office, Corporate & Partnering Law topics.
7. Handle Regulatory and Real Estate law matters.
8. Draft and review agreements, tenders, and other commercial documents.
9. Provide legal counsel on regulatory compliance, licensing, and new project development.
10. Offer standard legal documents and contracts, and negotiate contracts.
11. Support claim management and dispute resolution processes.
12. Manage external legal advisors, developing efficient governance and cost control measures.
13. Oversee all legal processes related to your areas of responsibility, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
14. Manage OPEA's small-medium partnering and transactions business, coordinating larger transactions with RWE group M&A functions.
15. Host the OPEA Compliance function.
16. Collaborate closely with RWE stakeholders, including the Group General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and other Heads of Legal.
Your Profile :
1. University degree in law with distinction.
2. Several years of relevant experience, ideally with a consulting background.
3. Solid experience in Corporate and Partnering Law, renewables, and project structuring.
4. Strong leadership skills and organizational, analytical, and standardization abilities.
5. Understanding of regulatory frameworks and decision-making procedures.
6. Knowledge of business models, regulatory, and technical developments and their implications.
7. Willingness to travel internationally regularly.
8. Excellent communication skills in English; German skills are an advantage.
9. Proven ability to lead, inspire, manage, and delegate effectively.
10. Capacity for people development and full potential realization.
11. Performance-driven, strategic thinker, and continuous improvement mindset.
12. Ability to lead teams through change and collaborate across global teams.
13. Effective internal and external communication skills.
