MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Network Administrator (Shift) to support 24/7/365 operations in Wiesbaden, Germany supporting U.S. Army Europe as a member of our EMITS Program Team.
This position is part of a shift work schedule which includes coverage on nights, weekends, and holidays.
The Network Administrator is responsible for providing ongoing support for the functionality and efficiency of computer networks.
* Monitors and manages data traffic/network performance and controls network resource performance to ensure high-quality transmission.
* Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.
* Performs Active Directory administration to build and maintain user accounts, process account request paperwork, and manage user access.
* Develops and enhances processes and technical documentation, creates back-up procedures, test plans, and reports.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Administrator must have:
* Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
* Experience: 2+ years of recent, hands-on networking experience
* Technical skills: Skills: Hands-on networking experience in one or more (Cisco, Junos, NSX-T); Experience with Cisco Unified Communications is a plus
* Security clearance level: Secret Security Clearance
* US citizenship required
* Must pass German TESA
* Role requirements: Must be IAT Level II Compliant (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent certification); At least a Cisco Certified Support Technician CCST certification
German TESA requirements:
* A bachelors degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
* An associates degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
* A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR;
* 11 years of recent specialized experience.
