Accountabilities Design and implement lakehouse architectures using Azure Fabric/OneLake, Synapse, Delta Lake, and mirroring for zero‑ETL data integration. Implement centralised data management and fine‑grained access control through Unity Catalog, integrated with Purview. Build and maintain DataOps frameworks using Delta Live Tables, serverless SQL pools, and automated monitoring tools for performance and cost efficiency. Develop and enforce security and compliance concepts, including VNet, Private Link, Key Vault, and Active Directory integration. Mentor and guide junior engineers, perform code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions. Advise stakeholders on data strategy, technology selection, and potential business impact. Drive innovation by testing new tools, frameworks, and proof‑of‑concept solutions. Requirements Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Azure data platforms (Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse/Fabric) and project management. Deep understanding of data architecture, distributed systems, data modelling, and performance optimisation. Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cost optimisation strategies. Strong communication and leadership skills; able to explain complex concepts to technical and business stakeholders. Fluent in German and proficient in English. Demonstrated ability to shape technical strategies, enforce governance, and drive innovation in team environments.
