Your Role

* defining software architecture for the next of lithography systems, driving the progress in the semiconductor industry
* finding the best solutions for embedded control systems, considering modularity and sustainability, hardware limitations and performance specifications
* analyzing system requirements, negotiating technical requirements and proposing solution options with the team
* maintaining consistency/compatibility with the legacy and technical solutions space that is available internally and externally across products
* proving technical feasibility and guiding the dev-teams during implementation and verification
* defining work packages and integration plans – thereby steering internal and external development
* hands‑on creation of prototypes, PoC's and final software, also promoting new technologies, concepts and ideas to drive innovation
* leading communications with internal and external stakeholders like systems engineers, software developers, project managers/POs and electronics teams
* definitive contributions to our technology roadmap by providing your ideas and supporting innovation
Your Profile
* studies in Engineering, Control Systems, Mathematics, Physics or similar – Masters desirable
* you have proven experience as a software developer or architect in a professional software development environment for bare metal controllers (C/C++), real‑time operating systems (Linux) or similar machine‑oriented applications
* you have an excellent understanding of real‑time applications like fast embedded control systems
* additionally you have in‑depth knowledge of another technical domain, for example software under real‑time operating systems
* you can efficiently develop optimum solutions using the latest tools and methods in low level programming and you are able to present them convincingly to management and stakeholders
* you can communicate clearly, precisely and with empathy and have a passion to successfully solve complex challenges independently and in a team
* optionally you have experience with VHDL or similar
* good English and optionally German language
