Today, we accelerate and transform life sciences, mobile consumer electronics, optical communications, display, and automotive markets.For our location in Berlin, Germany, we are looking for a Director of Global Sustainability Reporting & Engagement (m/f/d).Scope of position:As the Director of Global Sustainability Reporting & Engagement, you will lead the development and production of Corning’s regulatory and voluntary sustainability reporting, worldwide. You will build new processes and systems to address newly applicable reporting regulations (e.g., CSRD, CSDDD, California, etc.), collaborating with the Corporate Sustainability Controller and sustainability professionals from various departments.You will also develop and execute a strategy for voluntary sustainability reporting (e.g., ISSB1 and ISSB2 standards, CDP, EcoVadis, Sustainalytics, etc.). This role will involve interaction with a well-established cross-company sustainability group, including representatives from each of Corning’s business groups.Requirements:Ability and experience in leading diverse teams effectively, including in ambiguous situations.Concrete examples of personal initiative and resolving issues through understanding conflicting views.Intellectual curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements (CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, TCFD/IFRS, GHG Protocol, preferably also ISSB, CSDDD).Familiarity with ESG rating methodologies and third-party raters/rankers.Proficiency in data analysis; familiarity with sustainability management software (like Workiva) and ESG data platforms (like Persefoni or Gensuite).Understanding and experience with stakeholder engagement and materiality assessments.Excellent project management skills to handle multiple reporting initiatives and ensure data accuracy.Clear communication skills to convey complex sustainability information effectively.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process.
