Sales Engineer - Hamburg - Utility Scale PV and BESS.
I'm partnering with a global leading provider of EPC services as well as O&M functions for solar power plants but also BESS projects. Over the past 5 years they have constructed 3.9 GW of projects across Europe and Australia.
With an extensive project pipeline and further demand in coming, we have an urgent requirements for a Sales Engineer to join the team with the focus on European wide projects.
Currently, the vast majority of the projects in the pipeline are BESS related, so if you have prior experience with this technology, this would be perfect for you.
Your Responsibilities:
* Proposal Preparation and Submission: Creating and calculating offers, and participating in Go/No-Go decisions for projects in collaboration with the Business Development team.
* Technical Consulting: Advising customers and supporting the sales team in developing customized solutions for projects, including technical designs and calculations.
* Coordination: Close collaboration with internal departments such as Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement to gather all relevant information for proposal preparation and project execution.
* Cost Estimation: Providing technical information and designs for accurate cost estimation of customer projects.
* Negotiation Support: Assisting the Business Development team in negotiating contracts and pricing structures.
* Optimisation: Improving and presenting proposal content and continuously developing sales processes through feedback and market observations.
Your Profile:
* Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering (electrical and mechanical is preferable).
* Minimum of 2 years of professional experience within technical sales, for either ground-mounted PV, or utility scale BESS.
* Experience in creating offers and calculations.
* Solid technical understanding of solar technologies, including modules and BESS.
* Excellent German and proficient English skills, both written and spoken.
* Strong analytical thinking and detail-oriented working style.
* Outstanding organizational skills and an independent working style.
* Willing to be in the office at least 3 days per week.
