As a Damper Simulation Specialist, you will shape the digital foundation for the design and performance optimization of our tower damper systems. Through advanced simulations and modeling, you enable our teams to predict, evaluate, and fine-tune damper behavior early in the development process. This position is critical for integrating oscillation control into our tower structures and provides key inputs for both validation campaigns and the toolkit standardization efforts. You’ll work in close collaboration with mechanical engineers and validation teams to ensure our models align with real-world performance.
Your Tasks:
1. Define damper parameters for tuned mass dampers used in steel towers.
2. Build and maintain a coupled Damper MBS model (with tower interaction).
3. Collaborate with the damper design and validation teams to ensure function and robustness
4. Generate simulation input for integration into the MTF Tower Design Tool.
5. Drive simulation-based insights to enhance the effectiveness and predictability of damper systems.
Your Profile:
6. Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
7. Proven expertise in simulation of mechanical systems, preferably using MBS or FEM.
8. 5+ years of experience in similar technical roles.
9. Experience in the modeling of damping systems and structure-dynamics interactions.
10. Structured problem-solver with the ability to translate simulation into engineering practice.
11. Fluent in English; knowledge of German and/or Spanish is a plus.
12. Openness for interdisciplinary teamwork and occasional travel.
