Job details:
You will be working in the Sourcing department, BTI.
You will report to Head - Sourcing, BTI and you will work at our facility at Thervoy Kandigai, Chennai, India.
Your Tasks:
1. Manage direct materials categories and external machining partners
2. Support regional team in negotiations
3. Adherence to regional and global processes including templates
4. Follow Way to Market for NPI
5. Ensure compliance
6. Internal stakeholder management – factory managers, function mangers
7. To explore and implement continuous improvement in sourcing process and supplier process for optimizing cost.
8. To support budget preparation for the regional sourcing function
9. External stakeholder management - key strategic suppliers
10. To support regional sourcing team for implementing category strategies
11. Participate and drive cross functional teams on various new initiatives
12. Keep informed on sourcing methodology and best practice developments
13. Be in forefront of market developments
Professional and personal qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 8+ years of experience in a Sourcing function.
