For our Department Digital-Technology, we are looking for a Manager Advanced Analytics & MLOps (f/m/d). The role is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, and reports to the position Head of Data & AI.
In our Data & AI Team, we seamlessly blend classical data analytics with cutting-edge methodologies like GenAI to craft innovative solutions. The Manager Advanced Analytics and MLOps will lead a team of Data Scientists dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data science and operationalizing machine learning models.
The Data Scientists are currently driving impactful projects such as Cement Strength Prediction, Predictive Maintenance, and a computer vision project for Biodiversity KPIs. Alongside the Advanced Analytics and MLOps team, we have a GenAI Team, a Hyperautomation team, and two Data Analytics teams, each contributing uniquely to our dynamic environment. YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
1. Lead and mentor a team of skilled Data Scientists and one Data Engineer who work in cross functional teams contributing to our strategic pillars such as HProduce, ESG, and AI.
2. Empower team to deliver high-quality solutions that push the boundaries of innovation
3. Provide a vision to your team about how to bring machine learning models at scale to production
4. Define standards and tools for your area of responsibility, so that your team can focus on business value creation
5. Define and uphold best practices for MLOps processes, ensuring robust version control, reproducibility, and seamless integration of new technologies.
6. Ensure great alignment within the Data & AI team and key stakeholders around
7. Drive use cases with high business value and enable the impact measurement
YOUR PROFILE
8. MINT University degree or equivalent experience
9. Domain knowledge of the cement industry would be advantageous
10. Experience in working with Databricks or similar solutions would be a plus
11. 4+ years of practical experience in Data Science
12. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Experience with agile methodologies
14. Willingness to learn new technologies
15. Solid experience in tools like Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and Apache Spark.
16. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
17. Willingness to travel
