Optics Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer Contract, Full-time · On-site (Wessling Area)
Join us as a Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer (m/f/x) and play a key role in developing the future of precision manufacturing!
Research and develop new manufacturing processes and optimize standard operating procedures and work instructions across various machines and workstations
Design jigs, fixtures, and assembly tools using CAD, including packaging solutions
Evaluate and improve current manufacturing processes using lean principles, 5S, OKRs, and DMAIC methodologies
Take ownership of production planning, material intake, work order creation, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) management
Coordinate cross-functional projects with internal engineering teams and external suppliers
Develop detailed layouts for production spaces, including equipment and work centers, and conduct throughput analysis and workflow planning
Manage and grow a small team with the goal of scaling operations as production needs expand
Degree in industrial, mechanical, production engineering, or a related technical discipline
Proficient in CAD and PLM software; CAM knowledge is a plus
Familiarity with MES and SAP ERP systems is a strong advantage
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Previous experience—either full-time or internship—as a mechanical or manufacturing engineer is an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication in English; German language skills are a plus
