You will ensure the integrity, reliability, and compliance of mechanical structures in alignment with industry and regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting product development, quality assurance, and technical support.Key Responsibilities :1. Team Leadership & Project OversightLead, mentor, and support a team of structural and mechanical engineers.Plan, assign, and track engineering tasks across new development and improvement projects.Drive engineering excellence by promoting best practices in design, analysis, and documentation.2. Structural Design and ValidationSupervise the design of mechanical structures for crane components, ensuring structural integrity, durability, and compliance with applicable standards.Guide the team in conducting structural simulations and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate and optimize designs.3. New Product DevelopmentCoordinate the structural design contribution to new product development initiatives, from concept to testing.Ensure integration of mechanical structures within the overall system architecture in collaboration with R&D and product engineering teams.4. Product Quality & Continuous ImprovementOversee the evaluation of existing products to identify structural improvements and lead redesign initiatives.Lead root cause analyses of structural issues and drive the implementation of corrective actions.5. Documentation & Standards ComplianceEnsure preparation of complete and accurate technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.Guarantee alignment of all documentation with European and international regulatory standards.6. Cross-functional CollaborationAct as the primary structural engineering representative in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with electrical, hydraulic, manufacturing, and after-sales teams.Support industrialization and lifecycle activities with expert structural input.7. Regulatory and Certification ComplianceEnsure all structural designs comply with European and global regulations.Lead and support certification processes by providing the required documentation and technical justifications.8. Cost Optimization & Value EngineeringReview and challenge the cost structure of components to propose value-driven design alternatives.Promote design-to-cost and value engineering methodologies within the team.9. Innovation and Technology LeadershipFoster a culture of innovation by encouraging the adoption of new materials, technologies, and methodologies.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring their consideration in the team's work.Ideal Profile :Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Mandatory experience with All-Terrain Cranes development.5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis2+ years of experience in a project management role.Strong proficiency in CAD and FEA tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS, Abaqus).Solid understanding of materials science, welding, and structural mechanics.Familiarity with relevant European and international engineering standards.Excellent communication and teamwork skills in cross-functional environments.Fluent in English; German or Chinese is an advantage.
