Quality Control Leader (f,m,d)
This full time position will be located in Stade (greater Hamburg area).
Job description:
As the Quality Control Leader at our Stade/Bomlitz sites, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our quality control laboratories. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, your primary focus will be to maintain compliance, deliver on time robust results while adhering to corporate standards.
Key Role Responsibilities:
1. Safety: Champion a culture of safety within the QC laboratories
2. Operational Management: Oversee and coordinate all laboratory activities, ensuring efficient and timely quality control of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products
3. Team Supervision: Directly manage the Stade Lab Team (incl. performance management), fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
4. Compliance Standards: Ensure adherence to global analytical methods and procedures, including relevant monographs (e.g., USP, EP) and standards (e.g., EXCiPACT GMP, FSSC 22000)
5. Laboratory Practices: Enforce exemplary laboratory practices to maintain safe and reliable operations
6. Analytical Processes: Perform analyses for batch release and individual testing requests; evaluate and release analytical data
7. LIMS Management: Administer the local Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) instance
8. Equipment Strategy: Develop and uphold a strategic approach to analytical equipment management, ensuring compliance and timely calibration
9. Project Management: Lead local QC projects, focusing on methods validation and process improvements
10. Supply Chain Coordination: Manage chemicals and laboratory equipment orders, ensuring adequate stock for seamless operations
11. Financial Oversight: Oversee service contracts and laboratory-related expenses
12. Procedure Development: Create, review, and implement laboratory procedures to enhance operational efficiency
13. Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into laboratory-related issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives
14. Cross-functional Communication: Facilitate effective communication with production personnel, addressing in-process and finished product control needs
15. Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary contact for laboratory-related inquiries from the analytical group, quality unit, and other internal functions
16. Collaborative Engagement: Partner with other laboratories within the business group to share best practices and drive innovation
17. Training & Development: Coordinate and conduct training sessions for analytical technicians and operators, ensuring qualifications are up-to-date
18. Audit Participation: Engage in internal and external audits, demonstrating the laboratory’s commitment to excellence
Your qualification:
19. Minimum requirement: State-certified chemical technician (Chemietechniker), bachelor/master’s degree in natural science (e. g. chemistry) preferred
20. Leadership competency and experience in managing a team, ideally in laboratory settings
21. Extensive experience in quality control within a production facility, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical sectors
22. Profound understanding of quality control processes and analytical methods (e.g., gas chromatography), ideally within the food or pharmaceutical industries
23. Knowledge of relevant quality control standards related to excipients and food additives (ISO 9001, EXCiPACT GMP/IPEC-PQG GMP, FSSC 22000) and experience with monographs
24. Proficiency in LIMS; SAP experience is advantageous
25. Strong mathematical and statistical skills
26. Ability to collaborate across functional and disciplinary boundaries
27. Fluency in both German and English

Als Laborleiter/in an unseren Standorten Stade/Bomlitz tragen Sie maßgeblich zum reibungslosen Betrieb unserer Qualitätslabore bei. Sie berichten direkt an den Qualitätsmanager und konzentrieren sich in erster Linie auf die Einhaltung der Compliance, die pünktliche Lieferung robuster Ergebnisse unter Einhaltung der Unternehmensstandards.
Hauptverantwortlichkeiten:
28. Sicherheit: Champion der Sicherheitskultur in den QC-Laboren
29. Betriebsmanagement: Überwachen und Koordinieren aller Laboraktivitäten und effiziente und termingerechte Qualitätskontrolle der Rohstoffen, prozessbegleitenden Zwischen- und der Endprodukte
30. Personalführung: Direkte Personalverantwortung für das Laborteam in Stade (inkl. Performance Management), Förderung eines kollaborativen und leistungsstarken Teamumfeldes
31. Compliance: Sicherstellung der Einhaltung globaler Analysemethoden und -Verfahren, einschließlich relevanter Monographien (z. B. USP, EP) und Standards (z. B. EXCiPACT GMP, FSSC 22000)
32. Laborpraktiken: Vorantreiben der Anwendung von best practice in den Laborprozessen, um einen sicheren und zuverlässigen Betrieb zu gewährleisten
33. Analytische Prozesse: Durchführung von Analysen für die Chargenfreigabe und Einzel-Prüfanfragen; Auswertung und Freigabe von Analysedaten

35. Gerätestrategie: Entwicklung und Erhaltung eines strategischen Ansatzes für das Management der Analysegeräte, Sicherstellung der Einhaltung aller relevanten Vorschriften und Kalibrierungen
36. Projektmanagement: Leitung lokaler QC-Projekte mit Schwerpunkt auf Methodenvalidierung und Prozessverbesserungen
37. Koordination der Laborbestellungen: Verwalten der Bestellungen von benötigten Analysechemikalien und Laborgeräten und sicherstellen, dass ein ausreichender Lagerbestand für einen reibungslosen Betrieb gewährleistet ist
38. Kostenkontrolle: Betreuen von Serviceverträgen und laborbezogenen Ausgaben
39. Verfahrensentwicklung: Erstellen, Überprüfen und Implementieren von Laborverfahren, um die betriebliche Effizienz zu steigern
40. Ursachenanalyse: Leiten von Untersuchungen zu laborbezogenen Problemstellungen und Vorantreiben von Initiativen zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung
41. Funktionsübergreifende Kommunikation: Fördern einer effektiven Kommunikation mit dem Produktionspersonal, adressieren von Qualitätsprüfungsanforderungen für den Produktionsprozess sowie die Endprodukte
42. Stakeholder-Beziehungen: Primärer Ansprechpartner in Laborfragestellung für die Labormitarbeiter, die Qualitätseinheit und anderen internen Funktionen
43. Kollaboratives Engagement: Förderung der Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Laboren innerhalb der Unternehmensgruppe, um Best Practices auszutauschen und Innovationen voranzutreiben
44. Schulung und Entwicklung: Koordination und Durchführung von Schulungen für das Laborteam und die Anlagenoperator, um sicherzustellen, dass die Qualifikationen auf dem neuesten Stand sind
45. Teilnahme an Audits: Durchführung interne und externe Audits, als Qualitätsiegel für eine exzellente Laborarbeit
Qualifikation:
46. Minimum Voraussetzung ist ein staatlich geprüfter Chemietechniker, Bachelor-/Masterabschluss in Naturwissenschaften (z. B. Chemie) bevorzugt
47. Führungskompetenz und Erfahrung in der Führung von Mitarbeitern idealerweise bereit in Laborumgebungen
48. Umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Qualitätskontrolle innerhalb einer Produktionsstätte, vorzugsweise im Lebensmittel- oder Pharmabereich
49. Fundierte Kenntnisse von Qualitätskontrollprozessen und analytischen Methoden (z. B. Gaschromatographie), idealerweise in der Lebensmittel- oder Pharmaindustrie
50. Fundierte Kenntnisse der Qualitätskontrollnormen in Bezug auf Hilfsstoffe und Lebensmittelzusatzstoffe (ISO 9001, EXCiPACT GMP/IPEC-PQG GMP, FSSC 22000) und Erfahrung mit Monographien
51. Sehr gute Kenntnisse in LIMS, SAP-Erfahrung von Vorteil
52. Ausgeprägte mathematische und statistische Fähigkeiten
53. Fähigkeit, über Funktions- und Disziplingrenzen hinweg zusammenzuarbeiten
54. Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse
