We are looking for a Digital Art Director & Designer to join our Digital Studio in Berlin. In this role, you will shape and design digital experiences that sit at the intersection of brand, product, and storytelling. You will translate creative ideas into immersive digital experiences across campaigns, websites, and apps.
The ideal candidate is a multidisciplinary digital creative who combines strong conceptual thinking with refined execution across digital art direction, UX/UI design, and product thinking, with fluency in motion and experience with 3D environments.
YOUR MISSION:
* Lead the visual direction and design of digital experiences, including websites, interactive editorials, and campaigns.
* Translate brand strategies and creative concepts into cohesive digital design systems and visual languages.
* Design user experiences from early concept to high-fidelity UI and final production assets.
* Collaborate closely with developers, editors, and producers to create thoughtful and technically feasible digital solutions.
* Shape design languages, including typography systems, grid structures, motion behaviors, and interaction patterns.
* Contribute to creative pitches and concept development for new projects and brand collaborations.
* Ensure design quality and consistency across projects while balancing creative ambition with usability and technical constraints.
* Present design concepts clearly to internal teams and clients.
YOUR SKILLS:
Digital Art Direction
* Strong visual taste with awareness of contemporary culture, fashion, media, and digital aesthetics.
* Ability to move from concept and moodboards to polished, production-ready design.
* Experience leading or contributing to the visual direction of digital campaigns or interactive experiences.
* Strong understanding of typography and visual storytelling.
UX / UI Design
* Experience designing user journeys and high-fidelity interfaces.
* Strong understanding of interaction design and usability principles.
* Ability to balance experimental creative ideas with Intuitive user experiences.
* Familiarity with responsive design and scalable component systems.
Product Thinking
* Understanding of digital product development and iterative design processes.
* Ability to think beyond static screens and consider user behavior, flow, and interaction.
* Experience working on platforms, apps, or interactive tools is a plus.
Editorial Design
* Strong typography skills and experience designing content-driven digital experiences.
* Understanding of hierarchy, pacing, and narrative structure in digital storytelling.
* Ability to elevate editorial content beyond standard templates.
Motion & Animation
* Understanding of motion principles such as timing, easing, and transitions.
* Experience directing or creating motion for digital interfaces and interactive experiences.
* Familiarity with tools such as After Effects, Rive, or similar.
3D & Immersive Design (Bonus)
* Experience or interest in 3D environments or spatial digital experiences.
* Familiarity with tools like Blender, Cinema 4D, or WebGL workflows is a plus.
* Ability to collaborate with 3D artists and creative technologists.
Your Profile
* 5+ years of experience in digital design, art direction, or product design.
* Experience working in a digital agency, creative studio, or culture-driven media environment.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating both conceptual thinking and craft.
* Comfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to present design ideas clearly.
* Strong aesthetic perspective combined with pragmatic design thinking.
Technical Skills
* Advanced experience with Figma.
* Basic understanding of front-end constraints (HTML/CSS) is beneficial.
* Optional: Blender, Cinema 4D, or other 3D tools.
