Business Development Manager (m/f/d)
Full time 38,5 hrs/week, permanent employment
Your tasks:
* Proactive development and implementation of new business opportunities in Europe in the areas of energy, alternative energies (hydrogen, etc.), battery storage, power generation, gas/electricity-related infrastructure, digital infrastructure, logistics infrastructure, electrification
* Project development and implementation, including the management of existing projects
* Price and contract negotiations
* Cross-functional and cross-industry collaboration to ensure successful order processing
* Market analysis with regard to market trends, political changes and competitive activities in the areas of infrastructure, energy and alternative energies in Europe
* Close collaboration with our offices in Europe, Mitsui HQ in Tokyo and global teams
* Maintenance and expansion of external networks (industry, authorities, and suppliers)
* Risk management (credit, market, country risk) for existing and future projects
* Strict adherence to due diligence and compliance regulations
* Creation and explanation of financial models
* Supporting the General Manager (direct reporting) and Deputy General Manager in planning, reporting, etc.
Your qualifications:
* Successfully completed degree in business administration, energy management or comparable qualification
* Experience in international business development, international trade, strategic project work – preferably in the fields of energy and/or infrastructure
* Very good numerical and analytical skills
* Business fluent in written and spoken English and German
* Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and projects
* A high degree of self-motivation
* An independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
* Excellent communication skills, negotiating skills and persuasiveness
* High resilience and stress tolerance when working on complex projects
* Good teamwork skills and enjoy work in international and diverse teams

* Willingness to travel (approx. 30%) mainly within Europe
