As a Market Risk Analyst, you play a pivotal role in delivering transparency and challenge to trading activities, ensuring our commercial performance and risk culture go hand in hand. You’ll collaborate closely with trading desks, act as a key risk partner, and support the continued expansion of our business across Asia-Pacific—driving insightful analysis, improving frameworks, and influencing strategic decisions. Deliver clear risk and performance monitoring by analysing trading strategies and P&L movements across our desks Monitor trading activity for compliance with established risk limits and guidelines, reporting to senior leadership and the Board Evaluate and assess risk for new products and support enhancements to risk methodologies, frameworks and controls Stay close to markets, providing timely risk insights that inform key stakeholders and support strategic initiatives Work alongside colleagues in Europe and APAC to foster business-integrated risk management Lead and contribute to improvement of processes, controls, and reporting, enhancing our team’s effectiveness Develop your technical and commercial expertise as our business and industry evolve Job requirements and experience 4–8 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in market risk, trading, or a related function Strong numerical and analytical skills, with experience in managing and explaining data Outstanding verbal and written communication, able to influence and inform across seniority and cultures Structured and organised approach, comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing multiple priorities Problem-solving mindset, able to take initiative and challenge established processes Demonstrated ownership and accountability in your work and results Experience or strong interest in commodity trading and risk management, with knowledge of SQL, Python, or Tableau (or willingness to learn) Advantageous, but not essential Background in energy or commodity trading environments Understanding of commodity markets within the Asia-Pacific region Experience with risk modelling, option theory, Greeks, pricing models, stress testing or VaR concepts What we value most is someone who continuously demonstrates courage, thrives to create impact and seeks to build trusting, collaborative relationships.
