The Academic Operations division is seeking to fill the following position in the Laboratory Services department, starting 01.12.2025: Head of Laboratory Services (m/f/d) (full-time, 38.5h/week) Your responsibilities: Management of the Laboratory Services division Monitoring the maintenance of laboratory infrastructure Organizing the shared responsibilities of Technical Assistants and Lab Coordinators Coordinating the shared use of central analytical laboratory equipment and training staff Organizing external use of laboratory infrastructure Responsibility for the utilization of teaching and research laboratories Conducting biological and chemical safety briefings for new staff Assisting with cross-laboratory safety issues and university-wide cataloging of chemical and biological materials as well as scientific instruments Responsibilities as an appointed officer, e.g., for biological safety, animal welfare, laser safety, radiation protection Assuming occupational safety duties or delegating them in shared laboratories Your qualifications: Completed degree in natural sciences Several years of professional experience in scientific research in laboratories Experience in a leadership role is desirable Excellent German (C1) and English skills (C1), both written and spoken Strong organizational skills and a high level of teamwork Structured, independent working style and strong conceptual skills Proficient in all MS Office applications What you can expect at Constructor University: We are an international, world-class private university embarking on an exciting journey of growth and expanding our portfolio.
