The Associate General Counsel will provide broad-based real estate law counseling advice regarding all aspects of Dartmouth's real estate and construction portfolio, and will assist with managing real estate related administrative proceedings and litigation. The position reports to the AVP of Real Estate and Special Counsel and ultimately to the General Counsel as a member of the Office of the General Counsel team. The Associate General Counsel is charged with providing legal advice and representation in business, financial, regulatory, and other matters, litigation management, policy formulation and training, and oversight of outside counsel, with a primary focus on Campus Services itself and by extension College divisions served by Campus Services. The successful candidate will:
* Analyze and manage complex matters in a timely and effective manner;
* Exercise excellent judgment;
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders;
* Manage outside counsel in a cost-effective manner;
* Demonstrate initiative to identify and address programmatic and operational issues.
