Isovalent is seeking a talented and experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of passionate engineers. The Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the development of our innovative networking for the Cilium project, security and observability solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software engineering, excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products and be very familiar with Linux networking. We are seeking candidates located either on Americau2019s East Coast or in Europe. This preference is to ensure alignment with our team's working hours and facilitate collaboration across time zones Responsibilities: Grow and mentor software engineers and technical leaders Deliver continuous feedback and performance review of engineers, with input from technical leads and senior leadership Track progress on projects, help engineers grow their project management skills Preserve the engineering culture as we scale out the team Being a role model of company culture and values Minimum Qualification:ufeff 3 years of Engineering Management experience 5 years of experience in Software Development (any language), with at least 2 years of experience with Go 3 years of Linux, Kubernetes and the networking stack Preferred Qualifications:ufeff Strong technical background and good understanding of cloud native technologies Software engineering experience Experience of interacting and working with customers Experience managing independent, strong, and diverse teams Strong understanding of customer value Strong networking background is a big plus Why Cisco?
