We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student position in the field of autonomous driving. At our Autonomous Driving Campus in Unterschleißheim (Munich), our team is dedicated to advancing perception technologies for self-driving vehicles. We focus on developing and optimizing the perception stack — a key component in enabling safe and intelligent autonomous mobility.
What awaits you?
1. You will support the development and optimization of the data toolchain for training and validating perception functions for autonomous driving.
2. Furthermore, you help to prototype state-of-the-art perception methods and contribute to the development of back-end tools.
3. In addition, you will be encouraged to explore the latest advances in computer vision and machine learning, applying deep learning techniques to large perception datasets.
4. Moreover, you assist in testing and validating new methodologies for integration into the BMW vehicle toolchain.
What should you bring along?
5. Studies in engineering, computer science, physics, robotics or a related field.
6. First practical experience in software development with Python or comparable programming languages.
7. Understanding of machine learning methodologies, especially deep neural networks.
8. Basic knowledge of sensor technologies for supervised learning approaches.
9. AWS knowledge is a plus.
10. Business fluent in German or English.
11. Teamwork and communication skills.
