We are partnered with a leading roofing contractor for large-scale projects across Ireland and Europe (Data Centers, Commercial, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Industrial). Due to continued international growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead their departmental operations.
The Project Director will hold full accountability for the successful delivery of projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. This is a senior leadership position involving departmental management, team leadership, business development, and high-level tendering support. The goal is to ensure seamless project execution while maintaining the highest levels of client satisfaction and profitability.
Strategic Leadership & Management
Act as a key member of the Senior Management Team, contributing to the "whole company" strategy.
Project Planning & Logistics
Collaborate with Project Planners to develop detailed programs, identifying critical paths and key milestones.
Implement robust resourcing plans, including labor histograms and sourcing strategies for European-based projects.
Oversee complex project logistics, including international accommodation, transport, work permits, and local H&S compliance.
Project Execution & Commercial Acumen
Oversee the design process to ensure compliance with specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).
Review project-specific safety documentation (RAMS) and Quality Assurance (QA) plans.
Maintain high visibility at project locations to manage senior-level client relationships.
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 15 years’ experience in senior management, ideally within the Building Envelope, Roofing, or Cladding sectors.
Proven success in delivering medium-to-large scale projects from inception to completion.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of facade construction methods, safety codes, and financial/budget management.
Strong skills in MS Office Suite; experience with MS Project is a significant advantage.
Must hold a current driver’s license and be willing to travel to European project sites as required.
Full professional fluency in English.
