In this role, you will contribute to software systems that support critical European space missions and enable real-world impact in areas such as navigation, Earth observation, and space exploration.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
As part of a motivated team, you will take on a responsible role in the development and maintenance of software projects in the space domain, working closely with our clients. You will apply modern software engineering practices, with a focus on sustainable design and high software quality.
•Contribute to software projects in the space domain (coding, documentation, unit testing)
•Design and implement software components, including writing and maintaining unit tests
•Further develop existing modules and resolve defects in existing systems
•Communicate with customers regarding features, improvements, and issue resolution to ensure effective support
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

•A degree in computer science, physics, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a comparable field — or equivalent practical experience
•Initial practical experience with programming (e.g., through projects, internships, or professional work)
•Knowledge of C++ and/or Java; experience with scripting languages is a plus
•Basic experience with Linux/Unix, ideally including command-line usage
•Analytical, structured, and reliable working style
•Strong willingness to learn and interest in complex technical systems
•Ability to work effectively in a team
•Excellent written and spoken English; German is a plus
