The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. We are seeking a communications professional for the role of Head of Communications u2013 DACH Region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), reporting to Director, Communications, EMEA Core Markets. The DACH region represents one of LinkedInu2019s most important regional markets globally. The Head of Communications, DACH will have a very good working knowledge and a strong understanding of the business, consumer and media landscape across the DACH region. They will build, lead and execute the external communications strategy across consumer, B2B and corporate audiences, and cover executive and trust communications, including proactive trust and crisis communications portfolios in this region. This includes our owned and earned media programmes and integrated, measurable campaigns that support the companyu2019s business objectives. The DACH region is a core market for LinkedIn in EMEA, with significant opportunities to keep on strengthening platform usage, and support our members and customers. We are looking for a strategic, hands on, self-starter with strong leadership skills work well collaboratively across teams, most closely with international and global Communications teams, senior business stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and an external agency. Demonstrating a proactive, strategic and measurable approach to communications, with a finger on the pulse of key local trends and challenges impacting the world of work is required to ensure we stay on our front foot and connect how our differentiated tech is accelerating the value we deliver. The successful candidate will demonstrate past experience in building trusted and professional relationships with senior business stakeholders, delivering creative and impactful communications campaigns and working as part of a global team. Responsibilities: Communications Strategy and Execution Lead on developing and implementing a 360 communications strategy, including B2B, Consumer, Corporate and Trust activations Develops, embeds, and champions LinkedIn culture and values throughout strategy, execution, and team experience. Media Relations Analyzes and shares recent media trends and understands the media landscape. Manages the long-term communication strategy through understanding media landscape, pitching proactive stories, identifying risks, and monitoring media trends and competitive industry news in partnership with external agencies or vendors. Build and strengthen relationships with key media and journalists Risk and Issues Management Defines reputational risks and proactively identify and mitigate a wide range of issues. Supports team development of expertise and experience in reputational risks and defines appropriate mitigation strategies. Stakeholder Engagement Develops decision making criteria and principles at outset and drives team's priorities and expectations. Recognizes opportunities, makes decisions, and implements actions that recognize stakeholders' diverse perspectives. Writing and Storytelling Leverages established expertise to determine what channels are most appropriate and meaningful for a story/content and target audience. Basic Qualifications 10 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 3 years of experience in External Communications. 3 years of experience of people management experience. Preferred Qualifications 10 years of experience in external communications roles. 6 years of experience supporting senior executives. 6 years of people management experience.
