We run Continental’s global customer relationship management platform, which supports our Sales colleagues in their daily interaction with customers.

As a System Architect (m/f/diverse) for Digital Solutions, you will join an international and innovative environment.
In this exciting job you work on the following tasks:
1. Collaborating with business stakeholders, domain architects, and developers in the IT team to design and implement digital services for Continental Tires
2. Developing and maintaining the overall system architecture for digital solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
3. Creating detailed technical specifications and design documents for new and existing digital services
4. Evaluating and recommending new technologies and frameworks to enhance our digital capabilities
5. Leading the integration of various systems and applications within the Continental Tires ecosystem
6. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, alignment with group sector policies / standards and best practices in system architecture
7. Mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance to the development team
8. Conducting regular architecture reviews and proposing improvements to existing systems
9. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align digital solutions with business objectives
10. Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance / support
11. Troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing expert-level support when needed

Qualifications
12. Academic degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification
13. Multiple years working experience in the IT industry
14. Several years of experience in Data & Analytics or Java development projects
15. Several years of experience in software or IT system architecture design
16. Advanced knowledge of Database Technologies
17. Advanced Java programming knowledge
18. Advanced experience with agile methodologies
19. Comprehensive knowledge in cloud computing platforms (, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
20. Comprehensive knowledge in microservices architecture and containerization technologies (, Docker, Kubernetes)
21. Comprehensive knowledge of API design and RESTful web services
22. General knowledge with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
23. Professional working proficiency in English
24. Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
25. Good understanding of business processes and strong customer-centricity
26. Experience in working in diverse teams on a global level and in a matrix organization
27. Excellent presentation skills also in front of large audiences
28. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
