Chief Operating Officer
Location: Munich
Our client is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead European operations. This executive role will drive growth, steer commercial strategy, and scale operations while maintaining start-up agility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Full ownership of the European P&L, overseeing major revenue streams and a significant marketing budget in a rapidly growing business.
* Co-develop and implement long-term growth strategy in close collaboration with the global executive team.
* Lead European market expansion, establishing a strong regional presence.
* Oversee commercial and marketing functions, including brand/product strategy, digital marketing, e-commerce, and direct sales to healthcare and retail channels.
* Analyse and optimise complex commercial processes at both strategic and operational levels.
* Scale organisational structures rapidly while maintaining entrepreneurial agility.
* Inspire, align, and lead large, cross-functional teams toward shared goals and high performance.
* Drive strategic initiatives, including cost optimisation and regulatory adaptation.
* Manage cross-functional areas such as legal, compliance, and quality assurance, offering hands-on support as needed.
Requirements:
* Degree in business, science, engineering, or a related field, ideally with strong academic credentials.
* 7+ years’ experience in dynamic, high-performance environments such as consulting, private equity, or scale-ups.
* Entrepreneurial leader with strong drive and a hands-on approach.
* Sharp strategic and analytical skills, combined with operational focus and attention to detail.
* Fluent in German and English.
