Student Assistant (HiWi) in the field of Computer Vision, Point Clouds and LLMs

The TUM Georg Nemetschek Institute Artificial Intelligence for the Built World is looking for a student assistant (HiWi) to support research and development in the areas of computer vision, point cloud processing, and Multimodal Large Language Models.
Your tasks:
1. Implement Python scripts for dataset preparation, preprocessing, and processing of 3D point clouds.
2. Work with LLM APIs to automate parts of the pipeline.
3. Help build agentic workflows for tasks like information extraction from point clouds and BIM model generation.
4. Assist occasionally with drone-based point cloud collection.
5. Write scalable, efficient, and structured code.
Your Profile:
6. Solid Python skills. Yes, you can use AI to code, but you still need to know what you're doing.
7. Some familiarity with LLMs, APIs, and building simple agent workflows.
8. Experience working with point clouds and libraries like Open3D or PCL.
9. Bonus if you've touched C# / C++ or used RevitAPI (not a dealbreaker).
10. You're reliable, independent, and not afraid to figure things out.
