As Manager Engineering (m/f/d) for High Voltage Connectors in our Automotive division, you will lead a team of developers to design and optimize connectors, ensuring efficient power supply for tomorrow's electric vehicles. In collaboration with a leading European OEM, you will address evolving requirements for current-carrying capacity, mechanical robustness, and automation, contributing to the progress of e-mobility. The position values open-minded, flexible, and communicative individuals, and operates within a dynamic, networked project environment that leverages agile development methods.
Job Requirements
2. Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to a product development group specializing in HV systems and interconnection technology within the engineering organization
3. Offer technical leadership for development projects, including planning and allocating resources, setting schedules, and prioritizing tasks within the team
4. Define product requirements in collaboration with customers and support them in developing innovative solutions
5. Pursue creative approaches in both product and process design to optimize costs, quality, and development time
6. Expand technical knowledge and foster employee development within the group
7. Implement corporate goals within the development group, including key performance indicators (KPI)
8. Communicate and collaborate with other TE functional areas, including cross-location coordination
9. Support quality and cost optimization initiatives throughout series production (VAVE)
10. Plan and initiate verification scopes while evaluating results for concept and design validation
What your background should look like
11. Successfully completed university studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, or a related field
12. At least six years of professional experience in product development, preferably in the automotive sector
13. A minimum of three years proven experience in leading and managing teams
14. Experience with injection molding, stamping, bending, material technology, connection technology, manufacturing technology, and automated assembly
15. Demonstrated high level of personal responsibility, ownership, and flexibility in a fast-paced project environment
16. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions under tight deadlines
17. Solid project management and organizational abilities
18. Proficient user of MS Office tools
19. Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, suited for work in an international environment, including strong English language proficiency (written and verbal)
