Your next challenge:
Provide strategic and expert legal advice and transactional support on capital markets activities including:
- Debt issuances and EMTN programmes
- Structured products and structured notes
- Securitisation
- Derivatives (including interest rate, FX and credit derivatives)
- Treasury products, liquidity management instruments
Draft, review and negotiate master agreements and collateral documentation (e.g. ISDA, CSA, GMRA)
Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation, offering memoranda, prospectuses, term sheets and related agreements
Advise BIL Group on EU and Luxembourg regulatory frameworks, including Prospectus Regulation, MiFID /MiFIR, PRIIPS, BRRD and EMIR
Support Front Office teams on new product initiatives and act as second line of defense, when required
Liaise with external counsel, regulators and counterparties
Identify legal, regulatory and counterparty risks and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions
Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting capital markets, treasury, FX and derivatives activities
Contribute to internal policies, procedures and legal opinions
Participate in external working groups (ABBL, etc.)
Provide proactive support to the Head of Legal Department and team members on various matters
Your skills:
University degree in law (Master 2)
Qualified lawyer within the European Union
Minimum 5 years' experience in a (ideally large) financial institution or a law firm in Luxembourg
Strong knowledge of Luxembourg's banking, legal and regulatory environment
Excellent organization and coordination skills, combining attention to detail and an efficient overview of key questions and priorities
Fluent in English and French (mandatory). Any other language is a strong asset
Team player
Flexible, polyvalent and able to work on various legal subjects
Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated
