The freelancer will be responsible for the operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of PostgreSQL databases running in Kubernetes environments. Tasks Deploy, operate, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters (including upgrades and patching) Implement automation using Kubernetes operators, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning (including query optimization) Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies Ensure security, access control, and compliance standards Skills Strong PostgreSQL expertise (replication, high availability, performance tuning) Solid Kubernetes experience (stateful workloads, storage, networking, operators) Cloud and DevOps knowledge (e.g., Terraform, CI/CD, public cloud platforms) Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python) Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, logging stacks) Details: Start: ASAP Duration: 6 Months Capacity: 3 days per week Location: Remote Languages: English (fluent) / German (nice-to-have)
