About the position The role sits within t he Building System Team (BST), which is a Product Development department responsible for the engineering of GROPYUS’ scalable timber building product. The team you lead works closely with the Software Technology teams and our in-house Robotic Factory. A key mission of the team is the digitization of the Building System engineering output to enable scalable Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Production and Construction. Our inhouse Robotic Production is a particularly important field of responsibility. GROPYUS delivers Buildings on scale, and hence relies on digital, data-driven processes across the entire value chain. Your role is central to refine and execute GROPYUS’ technical vision of scalable digital processes. You and the team work on their development, implementation and optimization hands-on and in close collaboration with the Tech Teams. You will work closely with: W ithin the Building System Development Unit : Structur e, DfMA, Architecture, MEP, BAF (Building Physics, Acoustics, Fire Protection) Cross-functional partners: Digital Building System & Planning (Technology), Production Engineering, Factory Operations, Project Delivery ( A cquisition to C onstruction S ite) Your focus areas include: Translating Building System logic and specifications (e.g. standard detail drawings) into digital data (e.g. via our proprietary Rulebook and parameterization engine) Leading the development and operation of r eview & a pproval p rocess es of data generated by our parametric systems, to ensure correct factory-ready production data Managing and evolving Digital Twins, including coordination of production- & assembly data Coordinating assembly drawing s for internal and external stakeholders Managing data-related issue tickets from Production via ticketing system About you You are qualified in structural or architectural engineering, and able to take responsibility for data which goes to suppliers, production and construction You are an expert in parametric computational design (Rhino required, bonus coding languages) and able to apply your extensive experience to shape the most suitable process-solution for the business needs today and in the future Fluent German and English skills A collaborative mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving across disciplines Bonus: Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Wrike, Jira, Asana) What we offer An unlimited contract with 30 vacation days.
