FSJ Humanitarian Action*
in Bonn
You can start your FSJ with us from 1 August 2026 (a later start date may also be possible). You will work at our headquarters in Bonn Bad Godesberg. The service period can be recognized as a waiting period for university admission.
As a volunteer in the FSJ in Political Life, you will work in the Humanitarian Directorate in Bonn and support our humanitarian work in our project countries as well as our strategic humanitarian initiatives. You will gain comprehensive insight into the humanitarian work of an internationally operating aid organization. The aim is to familiarize you with the challenges of Welthungerhilfe by involving you in ongoing projects, both at headquarters and in our field structures. The FSJ-P is offered to young people aged 15 to 25 and is designed to last twelve months. An accommodation and mobility allowance may be granted.
Your responsibilities
1. Compiling and/or developing information materials on programs, projects, or specific emergency response topics
2. Systematically preparing and filing existing information and project documents in the intranet
3. Creating information and materials specifically for fundraising purposes
4. Supporting the preparation of maps related to our project areas
5. Providing administrative and logistical support to the team
Your profile
6. You have successfully completed your secondary school diploma (Abitur) or a Bachelor’s degree
7. You are between 15-25 years old
8. Ideally, you have initial experience in development cooperation and/or humanitarian aid (e.g., internships)
9. Knowledge of map creation is an asset
10. Strong communication skills and an interest in humanitarian topics
11. Interest in pursuing a career in development cooperation and humanitarian assistance
12. Good command of English and ideally knowledge of French
