About the Role
* Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Conduct market research to identify the most cost-effective, reliable, and high-quality products and suppliers.
* Negotiate and finalize long-term, efficient, and optimal contracts with suppliers and partners.
* Lead procurement activities across all stages in compliance with Sodecia’s purchasing procedures and relevant documentation.
* Evaluate supplier offers and provide recommendations based on cost structure, commercial terms, and technical factors.
* Negotiate and approve contracts, ensuring ongoing monitoring and quality control of delivered services.
* Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, internal departments, and internal customers.
* Implement, monitor, and define action plans based on Sodecia’s purchasing reports and key indicators (e.g., Gross Margin, Supplier Assessment – IAF).
* Collaborate with suppliers to improve payment terms for our companies.
* Forecast price trends and assess their impact on future activities; prepare detailed market analyses.
* Coordinate with the Engineering team on design changes for both internal and customer requirements.
* Participate in weekly meetings with assigned regional plants, including PGC and APQP meetings.
* Attend weekly purchasing and commodity master meetings aligned with the global sourcing strategy by commodity.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
* Strong communication and administrative skills.
* Proven leadership abilities, including leading commodity strategies and managing teams.
* Proficiency in SAP purchasing module.
* Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
* Location: Saarlouis.
