In order to support our Cloud IT DEVOPS Engineering Germany team, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an
IT Infrastructure Microsoft Engineer (d/f/m)
A vacancy has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in
Ottobrunn or Friedrichshafen. The successful applicant will join
TCECG. The Cloud IT DEVOPS Engineering Germany team offers
reusable building blocks and design pattern solutions for external customers, such as IT core and management services, cloud infrastructure simulators, virtual engineering labs, or digital twin enablers.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities Define the
functional and technical architecture
of the system in accordance with the requirements, considering
performance, cost, quality, and risk factors
Low-level
design of physical architecture
based on existing portfolios and external supplied components
Monitor
implementation of IT/COMs solutions
from suppliers
Develop
software-defined infrastructure
artifacts
Release the
applications processes continuously
(CI/CD) and automate deployment
Responsible for
continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes
Verify and validate
functional and interoperability aspects
as per requirements
Maintain
VCRI matrix status
Collaborate with
system, network, and security administrators
to create and manage development and operational needs
Design and implement
IT/COM solutions based on Microsoft product architecture
Desired Skills and Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field
Advanced knowledge of
System Architecture processes, including requirements management
Experience with
system engineering methodologies
such as
V-model
and
agile approaches
Several years of experience in
system architecture and solution definition, with a focus on
Microsoft solutions
Advanced knowledge of
Microsoft product technology and architectures
Extensive experience in
designing and managing Microsoft Windows Server systems
Advanced knowledge of
Microsoft Active Directory Services (DNS, DHCP, DFS)
Experience with
Microsoft virtualization services (Hyper-V, virtual machines, and containers)
Advanced knowledge of
Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure and Microsoft Exchange
Proficiency with
Microsoft System Center suite (MDT, SCCM, SCOM, SCDPM, SCVMM, SCOrch)
Strong
PowerShell scripting skills
Good understanding of
IT infrastructure, including OS (Windows, Linux, Unix),
virtualized environments (Hyper-V, Docker, Kubernetes) ,
networking, high availability, and
cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
Familiarity with
Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFE)
Understanding of
modern software development (DevOps)
Programming/scripting skills
in Python, Shell, or PowerShell
Experience with
modern tools
like Jira, Confluence, and cloud-native tools
Familiarity with
modern interface formats (REST, JSON, YAML)
Proficiency in
orchestration and monitoring tools
Hands-on experience with
Continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery architecture and planning
Increased awareness of
compliance and integrity
Ability to work in
security and process-regulated environments
Business fluent English and at least intermediate German skills
