The Department of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (DBCS) within the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences is seeking a leading academic to join its team as Full Professor or Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.
* Key Responsibilities:
o Leading research activities in clinical psychology and psychotherapy with a focus on etiology and maintenance of mental disorders, as well as their prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
o Covering teaching in clinical psychology and psychotherapy at all educational levels.
o Contributing to strategic developments within the Department, University, and national level in the area of mental health.
Potential Research Areas:
* Experimental clinical psychology/experimental psychopathology investigating psychological processes involved in the etiology of mental disorders in a strictly controlled laboratory environment.
* Psychotherapeutic process research examining interactions and experiences within therapy sessions focusing on how changes occur and what factors within the treatment process contribute to positive outcomes.
* Clinical health psychology/behavior change interventions exploring underlying mechanisms that drive behavior change and developing effective interventions in the context of health and well-being.
Requirements:
* A PhD in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology.
* A psychotherapy license/approbation.
* A minimum of five years post-doctoral experience acquired in a university or comparable research center or equivalent.
* University-level teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
* An outstanding track record of international peer-reviewed publications.
* Demonstrated success in obtaining EU and other competitive international funding on a recurring basis.
* Well-established expertise in experimental psychology and/or evaluation and/or clinical trials.
* Genuine commitment to translational efforts.
* Substantial mentoring and management experience.
* An interdisciplinary orientation including leadership roles in interdisciplinary networks or consortia.
* Extensive experience with public outreach and stakeholder engagement.
* Broad knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks.
* High visibility in the scientific community.
* Dedication to the principles of transparent and open science.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English and either French or German.
