Postdoctoral Researcher in Cybersecurity
The University of Luxembourg is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to support the research and development work within the SEDAN group.
Our team is working on various topics related to applied machine learning and cybersecurity, including applications and security of large language models. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on a core project funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) to explore and validate theoretical research in the field of cybersecurity-oriented telemetry.
Key aspects of this project include building a cybersecurity-oriented telemetry framework that captures and models causal dependencies in microservice-based infrastructure. You will also be involved in refining AI-generated causal models through a reinforcement learning loop, combining probabilistic reasoning and deep learning models.
In addition to technical contributions, you will participate in project management, reporting, and dissemination. The project team consists of the principal investigator (Dr. Jérôme François) and two postdocs.
You will also have the opportunity to participate and propose other projects within the group, contributing to our interdisciplinary research efforts.
Requirements:
* A collaborative team player with a desire to make a personal impact within our interdisciplinary research group.
* A motivated candidate who can work independently and efficiently, with self-initiative, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and enthusiasm.
Desirable qualifications:
* Experience in large language models, reinforcement learning, or related fields.
* Good knowledge of networks and systems, including protocols and monitoring.
Benefits:
As a member of our team, you will benefit from:
* A unique opportunity to develop new concepts and contribute to cutting-edge research in cybersecurity.
* Close collaboration with a dynamic team of researchers and industry partners.
* Access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources.
* Support for career development and professional growth.
How to Apply:
Apply online formally through the HR system, submitting your curriculum vitae and the name and contact details of two or three referees. Early application is encouraged, as applications will be processed upon receipt.
