As a team member of the Group Sector Central Function Technology of ContiTech, you will be globally responsible for driving the success of applied data science and its effective usage across all areas of the organization. Your role involves designing and implementing innovative data-driven solutions to solve complex business problems, utilizing cutting-edge techniques to develop customer-centric platforms that reduce complexity, ensure standards, maximize cost savings, and foster innovative material-driven solutions for a carbon-neutral and 100% circular product portfolio.Your responsibilitiesConsult on effectively applying Data Science methodology, technology, and best practices, supporting AI/DS platform owners, sector owners, and project leaders.Create and execute a global Data Science/Data Architecture strategy aligned with the overall CT Technology strategy in collaboration with the CFO IT Data Science team.Define and implement processes for Portfolio Management to continuously explore and fill the use case pipeline with Business Areas.Develop best practices, guidelines, and standards for data science in collaboration with stakeholders to build scalable solutions.Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and research to identify emerging technology opportunities.Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving business performance and delivering impactful results.Develop and implement models and algorithms using machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and statistical analysis.Lead the development of data pipelines and infrastructure to support data analysis and modeling activities.Establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Optimize data-driven decision-making processes to improve operational efficiency.Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and testing procedures.Mentor and train junior data scientists to strengthen the team’s capabilities.Your profileQualifications:University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.Extensive knowledge of data science techniques, including descriptive and inferential statistics, big data, data mining, and machine learning.Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.Over 8 years of industry experience in various data science roles.Experience with agile project management, managing multiple projects with internal and external partners.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Strong problem-solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills.Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.Effective stakeholder communication and high intercultural sensitivity.Collaborative team player with a passion for networking and knowledge sharing.Up-to-date with latest trends in data science, data mining, and analytics.Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Our offerJoin us to shape the future of ContiTech.
